Society For Indian Ocean Studies

The Society for Indian Ocean Studies is a think tank which organizes seminars, discussions and workshops on different aspects of the Indian Ocean which includes historical, economic, scientific and strategic relations with the neighbouring countries and the countries on the Indian Ocean littoral. For the last 30 years started in November 1993,the Society has brought out a Journal of Indian Ocean Studies issued three-times a year. The society has a MOU on collaboration with HK Sherwani Centre for Deccan Studies, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad.
